Centennial Plaza of the Oklahomans

Oklahoma City · Oklahoma

Created as a formal entrance for the Oklahoma State Capitol, The Plaza of the Oklahomans celebrates the diverse and rich heritage of those that have explored, crossed, and settled in the state over the last twenty thousand years. With three different granites in two different finishes, the Plaza's north corners are wrapped by flags that have flown over the state. Two sculptures grace each end of the Plaza while twenty-eight rosettes highlight events in the state's history. The project was funded though the Oklahoma Department of Transportation Enhancement Program.
