Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School

Bishop McGuinness, established in the 1950's, is Oklahoma City's premier Catholic High School. Little had been done to the school in the last 52 years, so MA+ Architecture was chosen to assist McGuinness in updating and expanding their facilities. The completed feasibility study allowed McGuinness to begin fundraising for the project and ultimately raise all funds required to renovate all of their campus facilities. This $10,000,000 project has 70,000 square feet of new area plus total renovation of the retained areas. The addition provided new administration areas, new library/media center, new student commons, new cafeteria/kitchen and a 29 classroom addition all on a very restricted site. All of the construction and renovation efforts were performed while keeping the existing buildings fully operational.
