This $10.8 million project includes interior upgrades to the existing facility that consists of upgrades to life safety, ADA and an update to most interior finishes. All the construction and renovation efforts were performed while keeping the existing facility fully operational. Included in Capitol Hill's overall 310,000-square-foot renovation is renovation of their auditorium. In this portion of the project, MA+ Architecture restored the historic auditorium back to its original 1920's interior. The project consists of new ornamental plaster work, decorative painting, seating, stage and auditorium lighting, audio equipment, catwalks and stage rigging. The auditorium is one of the largest in Oklahoma City Public Schools, seating over 1,100.
