The existing 8,200 square feet of cafeteria and kitchen space was remodeled to update the serving line to give the students more choices and food options and to decrease the amount of time students were spending standing in line ordering their food. An addition of 4,800 square feet was also built that more than doubles the seating area, allowing more than 500 students to eat lunch in one session. School colors were added to the room including an image of the "Wolverine" mascot designed out of wall tile. The new space helps promote school spirit and gives the students an area to congregate before school. All the construction and renovation efforts were performed while keeping the existing facility fully operational.
