As part of the campus master plan, the Automotive Technology Building was slated for a major renovation. This project consists of completely renovating the existing 15,000-square-foot building into a new state-of-the-art automotive repair training facility. The shop space was designed to be similar to a car dealership, providing students with real life experience and improving their chances of obtaining high paying jobs after completing the program.

The project includes major energy upgrades like LED lighting and a new roof, as well as new offices, classrooms and shop space for the program. 14 bays and a compressed natural gas facility were also included in the shop updates. This $2.1 million project was completed in the fall of 2018.
