Canadian Valley Technology Center
Building 200
El Reno · Oklahoma
Canadian Valley was devastated by an EF 5 tornado on May 31, 2013. MA+ was selected to rebuild their entire campus to create a 21st Century Technology Center. The first project completed was building 200 which was one of only two buildings on the entire campus that was not totally destroyed. The only remaining parts to this building were the slab, steel columns and roof structure. MA+ designed the new office and academic building within the confines of the existing structure to keep the overall costs of the project as minimal as possible. The project consists of new district administration offices, board room, storm shelter/break room and adult only classes such as practical nursing and their PIVOT programs. MA+ also worked with the owner to choose the furnishings for the facility to ensure that the design complemented the new furnishings. The project was a fast track design and construction project and was completed in April 2015.
