Oklahoma Senate Assembly Room
Oklahoma City · Oklahoma
The new Senate Assembly Room is one of the last of the original monumental spaces to be restored. This space had been remodeled into many drab low ceiling offices. The original ceiling over these was discovered by the firm during our research and many inspections of the Capitol. The room will seat over 100 people around curved desks. The latest technology including projected video is integrated so as not to detract from the neo-classical design. Hard wood floors and custom rugs, color scheme, and ornate coffered ceiling harken back to the 1914 design of the building. Period chandeliers and wall sconces highlight the plantation shutters and drapery. Adjacent serving rooms and tables and chairs storage rooms serve the multi-purpose use of this beautiful room.
