At 9:02 a.m. on April 19, 1995 a bomb was detonated in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Downtown Oklahoma City.  Just across the street from the Murrah Building, the nearly one hundred year old St. Joseph's Old Cathedral and other Parish buildings sustained severe damage.
