Julie Goetz · Associate IIDA
Julie is one of our wonderful interior designers and our real life Rapunzel. When she’s not innovating office collaboration methods, she’s researching, designing, and coordinating our education, nonprofit and civic projects. Her favorite parts of designing are meeting and connecting with clients, working through and helping create the construction documents, collaborating with team members, and a little bit of furniture selection sprinkled on top.
Her journey into interior design started, as she says, “through a series of interesting events”. Originally attending the University of Oklahoma for Pre-Med Dermatology, she switched to interior design, then furniture design, and finally back to interior design. It was the owners and lead designers from her first internship that helped her find her passion and direction.
Julie is in her third year of service to the IIDA Oklahoma City Council. This year, she is honored to take on her new role as Director of the Oklahoma City City Center. She is also a part of the University of Oklahoma College of Architecture Student Mentor Program and is currently testing for her NCIDQ License.
Julie, her husband, Ford, and their sweet lab mix, Maeley are often hosting parties, cooking, traveling, kayaking, and anything else they can do outdoors!
