The shapes expressed by Winans Park Fire Station help to create a transition between the downtown area and an older residential neighborhood. Three bays were required for the various fire department vehicles. Features include a hazardous materials unit to protect the citizens of Oklahoma City. Interior areas include administrative offices, sleeping quarters, kitchen and day room areas, locker rooms, restroom facilities and an integrated exercise room.
