Taft Middle School

MA+ Architecture worked with the non-profit group Fields & Futures to develop site designs and construction documents for improvements to the athletic fields at the Taft Middle School site in Oklahoma City. The project consisted of a soccer practice field that overlaps with track and field event spaces and a new softball field with dugouts, batting cages and bleachers. In addition to the athletic fields, an area of existing paving was re-covered with an athletic performance surface coating to create a new basketball court and a futsal court for student use. A pedestrian plaza was also created to serve students and special functions at sporting events. Construction of these improvements was completed in 2015.
