In 2020, the city of Weatherford passed the Yes Weatherford sales tax extension, providing for an upgraded police department facility. The 21,358-square-foot building will accommodate the city’s police department, a 911 call-center, and a municipal jail.

The facility comprises secure entry vestibules, a lobby, administration, records, evidence, communications/EOC, investigations department offices, patrol department offices, training, storage, intake/jail, and support spaces. This marks a significant step forward in bolstering law enforcement capabilities, ensuring a safer and stronger Weatherford.
