MA+ has partnered with the city of Oklahoma City to transform Woodson Park into an athletic complex along with the adjacent Wendel Whisenhunt Sports Complex, connected by a pedestrian bridge over I-40. Components of the master plan were devised to safeguard future development from any adverse effects stemming from the ongoing construction. The revitalization plan includes the creation of six softball/baseball fields, four multi-sport rectangular fields, and a central hub with event plazas, playgrounds, concessions, and restrooms to accommodate families attending athletic events. The project also encompasses walking trails, designated parking areas, and a relocated outdoor fitness court, enhancing community engagement and supporting athletic events. Covered dugouts and field lighting ensure the facility's usability during both daytime and nighttime, underscoring the positive impact this development will have on the Oklahoma City community.
