And Jesus Wept
Oklahoma City · Oklahoma
On the morning of April 19, 1995 a bomb was detonated in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City killing 168 men, women and children.

The monument "And Jesus Wept" is dedicated to the victims of the tragedy. The abstract form of the black columns and recessed openings in the wall (one for each life taken by the bombing) contrasts with the realistic Christ statue to create a monument which stirs curiosity and inspires contemplation; guiding the viewer to a deeper understanding of what has transpired.
